Lidia Goldberg is a documentary filmmaker, short-form video creative, journalist and student of the world. Her work explores local New York City stories, climate change, and social justice issues. She previously worked for Soundings magazine and currently works for Lavender by the Bay.

Goldberg received her master’s degree in documentary film from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in New York City. She produced the short-doc Daylight, an exploration of justice architecture in Chinatown, Manhattan for her master’s thesis.

She received her bachelor’s degree from New York University in broadcast journalism and environmental science. There, she focused her studies on climate change effects specific to New York City, and on the environmental impacts of factory farms across the country.

Goldberg co-founded Love Interest Magazine in August 2022 with her friends. She has had work published in Soundings, Passagemaker, SAIL, Honey Suckle, and Sugar magazines. She has had video work published by Soundings, Power & Motoryacht and PopStyle TV. She is eager to work on visual projects in New York City that are focused on international humanitarian and environmental issues, and animal justice.
